Based in the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St Paul, we distribute throughout MN, WI, ND, SD, IA and IL. Our diverse workforce of 400+ employees speak more than 10 languages. Our internal culture of mutual respect carries over to the BIX customer experience. In addition to bulk fruits and vegetables, we offer a wide variety of fresh cut produce, prepared fresh grab & go items, deli salads, desserts, nuts, spices, artisan cheeses, dairy items, juices, eggs and appetizers.

Over the last few decades, we have seen revolutionary changes in the produce industry—from refrigerated trucks and fresh-cut produce to submitting and processing orders online. With these innovations, our passion for produce and commitment to helping our customers succeed remains unchanged.
FreshPoint recently hosted a powerful evening that brought together culinary leaders, donors, and advocates in support of hospitality workers navigating crises through the "Help the House Foundation". The event raised vital funds to address pressing needs faced by restaurant employees, including housing insecurity, limited access to health care, mental health support, and food insecurity. Though they are the backbone of our communities, many hospitality workers still lack basic protections and essential resources.
Thanks to everyone who joined us, we were able to make a meaningful impact and support those who keep our kitchens and communities running.

Erin and Ben Doherty fell in love with farming in their early 20s and have been growing that passion ever since. They started renting land at Open Hands Farm in 2006 and purchased it in 2008. For them, there’s nothing better than being outside, working with soil and plants, and growing the food they love.
