The Lemon Guava is similar to that of a traditional Guava with Quince and Apple characteristics. It is wonderfully aromatic with complex, sweet-acidic citrus and floral notes. The flesh has a soft, buttery texture with a pale yellow color. No need to peel these Guavas, simply pop them in your mouth and enjoy!
We were mesmerized by the Lemon Guava and the opportunities are vast for chefs! Puree the flesh into ice cream, sorbet and jam! The petite golf ball size is great for stuffing with specialty cheeses and serving as an appetizer. Complement the sweet acidic flavor with the saltiness of prosciutto.
